AMD announced two new GPU’s well its called RX 5500 series and I will also talk about the Rockstar Games Red Dead Redemption 2 launch date for PC.

AMD Radeon RX 5500

This card is based on the newer RDNA architecture from AMD and not a super refreshed version of Polaris based architecture RX 480 and refreshed version of Radeon RX 480 that is Radeon RX 580.

This one is the replacement of RX 580 and is targeted towards 1080p gaming or 1080p gamers.

As this card can be or may be the replacement for Radeon RX 580 as it is slightly faster than the older Radeon RX 480 and the die is used on this GPU is much smaller than the Radeon RX 480 and that is why it has gained in performance and lower power consumption.

Specifications

  • The AMD Radeon RX 5500 has 8GB of GDDR6 Memory.
  • It has 22 compute units.
  • Game Frequency is 1670 MHz.
  • Boost Frequency is 1845 MHz.
  • There are 1408 stream processors.
  • The memory interface is 128-bit.

This GPU is launched for laptops or notebooks for 1080p level gaming, maybe it can replace Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 in the mainstream laptops or notebooks lineup.

This is also based on the latest RDNA architecture from AMD and I think that this can be the replace of AMD Radeon RX 560 and AMD Radeon RX 560X as this GPU may be used in entry level or budget laptops for 1080p gaming.

This card will be first available in the MSI’s new Alpha 15 gaming laptop.

Specifications

  • The AMD Radeon RX 5500M has 4GB of GDDR6 Memory.
  • It has 22 compute units.
  • Game Frequency is 1448 MHz.
  • Boost Frequency is 1645 MHz.
  • There are 1408 stream processors.
  • The memory interface is 128-bit.

Why AMD Radeon RX 5500 may be another choice for entry level gaming PC’s in India?

According to my opinion it is all about the pricing which could decide the factor of this card in India, if this card is launched at almost the same price of Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 then it could demolish this card.

Another reason is the most of the people look for those cards which are built up on the latest technology because the card might not perform as good now but when new games will arrive then the developers can take advantage the newer technology and make the game much more optimize so that it can perform good.

Read Dead Redemption 2

As you all know that last year Rockstar Games launched the successor of Red Dead Redemption which was launched in back in the day in 2010, and that game was appreciated much and people who played that game loved the story line and they wanted a successor of this game.

Rockstar Games launched the successor as Red Dead Redemption 2 but only for consoles and because of this the PC gaming community got hurt as the story line is very good and the graphics and animation, damn the animation and graphics are I think the most realistic looking graphics in any game till date according to me.

Finally Rockstar listened to the community and they are releasing this game on 5th of November 2019 after a year of launch for PC gamers out there.
