Yesterday Xiaomi has launched a new series of TV’s that are called Mi TV 4X in which they have launched, a 43-inch model, 50-inch and the biggest 65-inch model. You will get complete information about these products.
Xiaomi has also launched some other thing like Water Purifier, Mi Band 4 and the Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2 which is a quite cool product for smart home automation. But in this blog post, you will get information about the TV lineup.
The Mi TV 4X series is launched at very affordable prices and that is the reason their tagline was 4K for everyone.
The Mi TV 4X 43
Price – ₹24,999
Let’s talk about specification first
The 43” MI TV 4X comes with 4K HDR 10-bit panel which is made by LG, it has 20W speakers with Dolby™+ DTS-HD® support.
The total length is 970mm and height of the TV without base is 569mm but if include the base then the height becomes 613mm.
It supports wall mounting, so if you have space available room or where ever you want to mount, you can mount this.
In the 43-inch model there are 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 3x HDMI ports one of them contains ARC, 1 AV port, Ethernet port, Bluetooth 4.2, earphone, and LAN ports. If they had a given a USB 3.0 port it would be great.
The TV supports dual-band Wi-Fi i.e., 2.4Ghz and also 5Ghz, so if you are using a high-speed internet connection then you can use the 5Ghz band and you will get a very good a very good speed with very little up & down in the connection.
The TV is powered by Amlogic Cortex A-53 Quad Core CPU with Mali-450 MP3 GPU, it comes with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of eMMC storage which kind of disappointing, they should have at least given 16GB.
Mi TV 4X 50
Price – ₹29,999
This one is just increased in the screen size and the rest is all the same as earlier. Same 20W speakers, ports and even the processor and RAM, at least they should have included a better processor.
This TV consumes 10W more power than the 43-inch model, that consumes 105W of power.
The length of this model is 1124.4mm, the height is 649.3mm without the base and 705.8mm with the base included.
The MI TV 4X 53-inch is 3KG heavier than the 43-inch model, as this one is 10.7kg without the base and 10.9kg with the base.
The 43-inch model is 7.07kg without the base and 7.13 with the base included.
Mi TV 4X 65 (The most hyped one)
Price – ₹54,999
The MI TV 4X 65-inch model has a metallic design, it is not a brushed metal but a simple metal frame. The basic look is the same as other models available launched at the event.
The length is 1453.9mm and the height without the base included is 840.1mm, the height including the base is 899.55mm.
Talking about ports this model contains all the ports as the other ones but there are other sockets are also available like 1x CI+card,1x optical and 2x RF sockets.
The real difference is the processor which powers this TV is different from other ones as this one comes with Amlogic Cortex A55 Quad-core processor with Mali-470 MP3 GPU which is a little bit more powerful than Amlogic Cortex A53 Quad-Core processor.
It has, unfortunately, the same 2GB RAM, but the internal memory has been increased to 16GB from 8GB on the other models.
- This supports WCG(White Color Gamut) and also MEMC, it is motion compensation and smoothening which uses a dedicated chip built into it to give you a very less blurry video quality. This function does not available in other models.
- This model has the best sound clarity as the speakers use the same features as the soundbar for better mids and lows and better bass.
All the models come with Xiaomi’s PatchWall 2.0 with Android TV on top of Android 9.0 out of the box and Xiaomi has also included Google Assistant, Google Play and all the models have Chromecast built-in.
Using Google Play you can download your favorite apps which are natively built for Android TV.
Keep in mind that you can play lighter games like Subway Surfers, Temple Run but you cannot play heavier games like PUBG Mobile, Mortal Combat and other games at very good frame rates as they need a more powerful processor and GPU.
The Mi TV 4X series is launched with a very innovative thing, I mean innovative for a TV that they are launched with data saver mode. Xiaomi said that they have worked with Google to bring this feature.
So now you can watch more content for the same amount of data.
